Prevailing Winds

A recital of 20th Century works for flute and piano by University of Minnesota Flute Professor, Immanuel Davis and pianist Stephen Gosling. Many of these works are presented on CD for the first time and others are rarely recorded.

The works on this CD span the entire 20th century and many of its diverse styles. From the Brazilian sounds of Guarnieri and Impressionistic harmonies of Casella to the shimmering sounds of Carl Vine and jazz-influenced Yedidia, there is something here for everyone.
